Today, the air purifier has almost become a necessary artifact to protect your family’s health and combat smog. However, if not used correctly and cleaned in time, the air purifier may even cause secondary pollution of indoor air.
The filter screen technology used by the air purifiers sold on the market is generally divided into two types, namely, the physical purification technology with HEPA filter screen as the carrier, and the other is the ion wind air purification technology. Most of them use HEPA technology.
The disadvantage of physical purification technology is that after the filter screen works for a period of time, it will lead to the accumulation of dust and bacteria and block the purifier, which will no longer have the purification function, but cause secondary severe air pollution.
The first layer of coarse filter screen can be washed with clean water. If it is a thick and thin filter screen, it should be regularly dried on both sides under the sun according to the service time and the adsorption degree of haze. After drying, it is necessary to use a vacuum cleaner or hair dryer to deal with the tangible components adsorbed on the filter screen. In this way, it is appropriate to dry, suck or blow it twice or three times. Do not directly or indirectly knock and vibrate the filter screen, so as not to damage the structure of the filter screen and hinder the filtering function.
The HEPA filter cartridge in the air purifier cannot be cleaned with water. In order to prolong the service life of HEPA filter cartridge, a vacuum cleaner is generally used for cleaning. Remove the activated carbon layer from the catalytic filter element and place it in the sun for reduction.
Generally speaking, HEPA filter liner and catalytic activated carbon layer shall be replaced once every 1-2 years.
